Soft contact lenses

Soft contact lenses are a popular choice for many of our patients due to their comfort and variety of options. Soft contacts are available in daily, biweekly, and monthly varieties. Daily soft contact lenses are the most convenient. With daily disposables, you wear a new pair of contacts each day. You do not need to clean them or store them—you simply throw them away at the end of the day!

Biweekly and monthly contacts are less convenient, but they are less expensive than daily lenses. These lenses are worn each day and then removed and cleaned every night until it’s time to replace them. You’ll need contact lens solution to both clean and store them as well as a case. Extended wear contact lenses are also available that you can wear continuously for up to 30 days and nights.

Specialty contact lenses for every vision need

If you have a condition like dry eye or keratoconus that makes it difficult to wear traditional contact lenses, specialty contact lenses may be the answer! We offer a range of specialty lenses such as toric lenses for astigmatism, scleral lenses for dry eye and irregular corneas, and rigid gas permeable lenses for hard-to-fit patients. If you have unique eye needs, these lenses can often provide better vision correction than traditional glasses or contacts.

We can also prescribe cosmetic lenses if you want to enhance or change the appearance of your eyes. Some of these contact lenses do not correct vision, but you still need a prescription to avoid infections or eye damage.

Contact lens options for people over 40

As we get older, the lenses in our eyes get harder and less flexible, making it difficult to focus on close-up objects. This condition is known as presbyopia, and these changes happen to everyone as a natural part of aging. We offer bifocal and multifocal contact lenses as a solution for people with presbyopia. These contact lenses correct vision at multiple distances, making them ideal for those with presbyopia who have trouble seeing clearly up close and at a distance. Monovision is another contact lens option for presbyopia, where one contact lens corrects for distance vision and the other for near vision.
